How does the Catalogue work?
Navigate
- Click left in the menu on Electricity, Gas or Heating.
- Then you choose the work that you do from the list of work activities. On the following screen you see the risks which you encounter in your work. Per risk, you can click on ‘Employee Measures' and 'Employer Measures'.
NB. The activities in the list are sometimes very specific, for example, 'Repair right break in AC pipe’, but mostly what is more generally called ‘Laying Cables'.
Search
- Under Search in key word, fill in your key words. You can only fill in whole words (e.g.: asbestos, not: asbe).
- Click on Search. The search results appear. The type of information that is found is listed behind every key word: a risk, an activity, measure or health and safety specialist info. To look up a hit, click on it. Click on the Back button to go back to the Search results.
Didn’t find anything?
- Click on More options if you are not sure if your key word is present in the Health and Safety Catalogue, or how it is spelled. Subsequently you can fill in more variations on your key word and instead of 'With all words’ search on: ‘With at least 1 of the words’. In this way you have more chance of finding what you are searching for.
Printing
- To print a page click on the printer icon in the top left of the screen. The page is then formatted to a form which is suitable for printing. The print screen is immediately shown, so that you can select your printer and the number of copies.
- Then click on OK.
